LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS RESORT, THE FOOD WAS TOP NOTCH, THE SPECIALTY RESTARANTS WAS SUBPERB, LOVED THE NIGHTLY ENTERTAINMENT SHOWS PERFECT FOR THE FAMILY, AND THE ALL WHITE EVENT HAPPENS EVERY TUESDSAY NIGHT, MAKE SURE YOU PACK AN ALL WHITE OUTFIT, I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS RESORT, MY ROOM WAS THE GARDEN SUITE ROOM, VERY CLEAN, AND BEAUTIFUL, THE PROPERTY IS JUST AS PICTURED, I WILL DEFENITLY RETURN AGAIN 10/ OUT OF 10!

Excellent Hospitality
I had a fantastic experience at the Riu Ocho Rios Hotel. The entire staff, from the front desk supervisor, Shanika, to the room attendant, Elaine, and the person who stocked our refrigerator with beverages, showed exceptional professionalism and friendliness. Although I regret not recalling the name of the gentleman who serviced our room (1233), I'm hopeful that the management can identify him and acknowledge his outstanding service and professionalism. Additionally, I want to commend Ojeani, a front desk trainee, who was incredibly helpful and courteous. I believe he would be a valuable addition to the Riu Hotel staff. Overall, my stay at the Riu Hotel Ocho Rios was truly delightful. The only aspect that could use improvement is the food. While the hotel offered a variety of ethnic and authentic dishes, the flavors lacked the desired seasoning and spice. It felt as though the ingredients were diluted, which affected the authenticity of the Jamaican cuisine. Despite this, I look forward to staying at the Riu again due to its wonderful staff and excellent service. The key area for enhancement is definitely the seasoning of the cuisine, not the food choices themselves.

Lovely hotel in Ocho Rios
Lovely hotel with lots of amenities and activities for visitors. Good selection of food and themed restaurants offering a variety of international and local dishes. My only complaint is that our check in took an hour, as we had paid by debit card via an app, so did not have physical card with the bank details on. The RIU staff struggled to verify our payment because of this, but eventually did, with no apology. The evening entertainment is good and there is entertainment until 2am for those wishing to stay up later. Overall great.

Time of your life
Fantastic time at Riu Ocho. I love this hotel its 5☆ for me all the way. Friendly staff excellent vustomer services. Delicious food and great place to meet new friends. I recommend 100 percent. I will be back

My mum recently arrived at this hotel, and I am compelled to share her experience, which unfortunately was far from satisfactory. Her arrival was met with complete neglect, as shes found herself sitting in the lobby for over 12 hours without any acknowledgment from the staff. This was especially distressing given her current state of health, which deteriorated further due to the extended wait. To add to my frustration, a booking error occurred where my reservation was entered for the year 2024 instead of the intended 2023. This mistake led to unnecessary confusion and had added to the overall discomfort of the holiday so far. It's disheartening that such a basic aspect of hospitality could be mishandled in such a way. While I understand that mistakes can happen, the lack of attention, consideration, and prompt resolution in this situation is inexcusable. A hotel's primary responsibility is to ensure the well-being and comfort of its guests, and this experience fell dramatically short of that standard. I hope that my feedback serves as a reminder for the hotel to reevaluate its guest service procedures and ensure that no other guest has to endure such an ordeal. I urge the management to take immediate action to rectify these issues and prevent them from happening in the future. Until then, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a pleasant and stress-free stay.
