Come for the beach stay for the people — Thanks Graviel & Marcela
I stayed at this location and obviously it’s beautiful but what really made it stand out was THE AMAZING STAFF! I stayed as a member of a wedding party and opted for the “unique” upgrade which I totally suggest. I was provided with champagne during checkin where Marcela Cuevas (I hope I’m spelling that correctly) checked me in and literally made me feel like a celebrity. She booked me a complimentary spa appointment which really came in handy. “Mr. G” Graviel Andres who ended up being our assigned butler (get the unique upgrade) then assisted with bags and explaining he would be able to help with anything we needed during our stay and we could contact him via WhatsApp. Graviel checked in with me everyday during our 1 week stay and was so kind and helpful (weddings are stressful if you’re a bridesmaid). In terms of accommodations everything was what you’d expect of a great all-inclusive. Of note — the bars were never too crowded and there seemed to be something for everyone from couples to singles to parents on vacay with their kids. I’d certainly recommend to my friends. Top tier experience!
Terrible room service
Firstly, upon arriving at the hotel on 5/31 the hotel was immaculate condition we were actually shocked how beautiful the resort was however to our surprise on the following days 6/2 and 6/3 our rooms were not cleaned until after 6 pm which our butler was notified because we paid extra to be part of your guys “unique club” however nothing was done to rectify this issue Furthermore, to compound the issue, we discovered that the towels provided in our room were soiled and clearly used by previous occupants. This discovery was deeply unsettling and raised concerns about the overall hygiene and maintenance practices at your establishment. Clean and fresh towels are an essential aspect of any hotel stay, and being given dirty towels is not only unsanitary but also reflects a lack of professionalism. As paying guests, we have every right to expect a clean, well-maintained environment conducive to relaxation and enjoyment. However, the conditions we encountered severely impacted our ability to enjoy our stay and left a lasting negative impression. Such experiences not only affect the individual guests but also tarnish the reputation of your hotel.
Lopesan Costa Bávaro - May 2023 Visit - Amazing Resort
We just got back from Lopesan Costa Bávaro resort and we miss it already! It was our first time to the Dominican Republic (usually to to Mayan Riviera) and we were pleasantly surprised with the DR and this resort. Beautiful beach, fantastic resort, good food and good service. We booked Unique level package and in our opinion it was worth the money. Separate beach area with bar service right at the loungers, buffet right on the beach where you can have b’fast, lunch and dinner. We also had the pleasure of having Jose Luis Santana as our butler for our stay and he made it so much more pleasant. Came by to see us every morning while having breakfast or while on the beach to ask us if we needed anything. He was very helpful throughout the week. Anyone concerned about bad reviews of food not being good, terrible service or dirty rooms/facilities, shouldn’t worry because the place is top notch in my opinion. The only thing I will say is that the air conditioning in our room wasn’t the greatest and the room felt damp most days, but that didn’t ruin our experience. A great resort and will definitely be back!
I' m not sure it is good hotel, tourists are very noisy at night time. Beach isn't private and you swim with local people, who swim in clothes! But it is huge and the sea is full of boats and you have feeling, that you swim in diesel all day. Food is average. A la Carte restaurants: Best is Italian Gondola, the worst is Steak Assador. Very slowly staffs, meat is very fat. Hotel staff is very rude, you need give them $$$ and then do for you, what you need. Better hotel is Barcelo Bavaro - adults only, which is very quiet.
great stay at Lopesan!
we had such a great stay! the rooms were incredibly spacious and well kept. the shower was very modern and overall the rooming was amazing. there was a great and diverse selection of restaurants to choose from and the food was so good that after dinner we would sneak to the Unique dining area or other space and have a second dinner! the amenities offered to unique guests were great and well worth the extra cost. the beaches and pools we had access to were a great time and really allowed us to get away from the big crowds and all the noise. the beaches were well maintained and a lot of coverage for when you want to be away from the sun. the same goes to the pools! the adults only pool was great and super nice! the bar attention was also really appreciated. we had a great concierge Andres who helped us from the moment we arrived to our departure. he helped us with our restaurant reservations and we had a small room issue that he had addressed in a very timely manner. overall I would highly recommend the lopesan to anyone looking for a modern all inclusive experience in punta cana!
